Featured above is a hand-written map by Jack Kerouac himself documenting the extent of his travels between 1947 and 1948 alone where this marked the first year of being “on the road.” The trip would see him span across the continent from New York City to Denver and onwards to San Francisco accompanied by Neal Cassady after being introduced to him through fellow Beatnik Allen Ginsberg.
